SPORT PARENTING WORKSHOP for High School & Club Organizations


  • How do I get the parents of my players to be friends and not foes?
  • How can I get across to the parents of my players that their actions are not helping their child’s development and performance?
  • How do I get parent’s to improve upon the support provided to their child-athletes?
  • How do I balance being a parent and a coach to my elite child-athlete?



This workshop is designed for coaches and parents who want to work in unison to improve upon the team and individual player development. Having both the coaching staff and parent on the same page regarding the team vision, coaching philosophy, team rules and practices is tantamount for collaborative coaching and parenting and enhanced player and team development and enhanced performance.


Parents and coaches will learn:

  • How important each party is to the development of the individual child-athlete and team
  • How behaviors of each party can be a benefit or a detriment to this development
  • How to approach and coach youth sport that is the most beneficial for athlete development
  • How to incorporate team building, mental toughness, and leadership programming into the youth sport culture
  • How do design a “code of conduct” for each party that maximizes the sport experience for everyone involved
